Let’s take a little break from the technical stuff and talk about entanglement, defined again as: ‘the tiny packets of energy “quanta’ exhibit strange behaviors, including the ability to influence one another.
Start with this simple illustration: An acorn falls to the ground and is buried by a squirrel. Moist earth surrounds it, breaks down the outer shell, and it begins to grow. Moisture and nutrients nourish it and a tree grows. Too little moisture and growth is stunted. The wrong nutrients for the tree and no growth, perhaps even death. A delicate balancing act occurs in which the ‘quanta’ of the tree are, in a very real sense, drawing toward them the ‘quanta’ of the nutrients. The nitrogen in the ground is just sitting there, until it responds to the ‘pull’ of the quanta in the tree.
Let’s bump it up a notch. Dr. Norman Vincent Peale relates the story of a woman who came to him, very concerned with her husband’s job. He was a bitter man, unhappy with his work, passed over for promotion several times. Dr. Peale suggested that she rise early in the morning (before he did) and sit by the bedside praying for him, and imagining that he was happy at work and liked by his superiors and co-workers. Within a few weeks his attitude changed and within three months was given a promotion.
May I suggest that the energy of her thoughts influenced the energy of his thoughts which in turn impacted the energy of the thoughts of his co-workers. Remember, he wasn’t using the How to Win Friends and Influence People program. He didn’t even know he was being prayed for. It was not an intellectual process that changed things, it was, for lack of a better word, the energy of thought exerting an influence upon the thoughts of others
